In this post we explore how envisioning the future works in the brain, and then I offer an exercise that experiments with a different way into envisioning for people who have trouble with the traditional methods of vision exercises. If you want to get right to the exercise scroll down!

As a learner, I have encountered what feels like countless variations on “vision” exercises. In business courses, personal transformation groups and as part of higher education programs. While some fellow students have resistance to the variations of exercises, most, although not all, end up jumping in and are able to envision with enthusiasm after some prodding and sorting out of blocks and limiting beliefs. -
