Entrusted with the World

Sometimes, when I am working with a client, there’s a need for a spark to get the changes that are wished for underway. The interest, curiosity and even desire are evident, and actionable plans that they feel excited about are laid out, however there is still something missing, something that will ignite the fire to get them going. - Since every person is different, what that spark is, is also unique. There is one type of spark, however, that I’ve found has helped catalyze change on multiple occasions - it is the reconnecting of the self to the world and the world to the self.

When we have many Sufferings or many Challenges (with intentional caps) going on, our focus can become limited to what is right around us. We stop looking up and out at horizons. And we also stop remembering our bigger connection, however that works for us, to the world at large.

Our Sufferings, our Challenges, are shared and understood by someone out there, most likely several someones, at least to some degree. There are billions of humans on our planet and, while we may not know someone personally who is going through what we are, or walking a path similar to ours, they are out there.
